These little spirit men will dance their way straight into your heart!
Fall back in time to another place in another world - to a rhythmic pounding beat, celebratory garbs, dancing feet and mesmerizing movements of tribal dancers as they endeavor to connect spiritually with a higher realm. A culture where the shaman and medicine man are honored positions, connecting man with a greater power, trusted and revered for their insight and guidance. How did the ancients look with their elaborate masks and fanciful headdresses? Can you envision the beak-like noses and painted eyes? Can you hear the chanting? Who are the massive stone faces on Easter Island and how did they get there? Are they symbolic of the native people? Were there elaborate celebrations with colorful costumes at the time the faces were placed? And where did they go...?
These tiny cork miniatures bring to life the tribal celebrations and spiritual energy popular so long ago and still found around the world today. Did the cold, stone faces from Easter Island at one time wear colorful garb and depart with their celebratory costumes? And do we see these practices carried forward in time to Hawaiian warrior dancers, kachina and kokopelli characters, tribal shamans and further spin offs to socially taboo voodoo and witch doctor ceremonies? Inspiring pieces for collectors of The Ancients, Inca, Aztec, island or jungle cultures captured in a one-of-a-kind spirit character. Each piece is handmade with sparkling glass beading and takes 4-6 hours to complete.
DESCRIPTION: Medicine Woman (Medicine Man Shaman Sculpture Series 6th Creation)
This ceremonial Ancient features the elaborate dress of a medicine woman - the cultural centerpiece in the community, offering spiritual services and guidance to her following. Be careful! You'll find yourself transfixed by her unblinking, piercing eyes set in a hypnotic trance stare. The back side has a full, plentiful sparkling robe in vivid multi-colors. Measures approximately 4 inches tall to the top of the colorful wispy fronds.
Includes one figurine, certificate of authenticity and decorative box.
