PLEASE READ: A luminescent candle is a candle that provides light from the flame (or bulb) but also illuminates the body of the candle itself. To achieve this luminating feature, the core of this candle is made from a LIGHT WEIGHT THIN PLASTIC which allows light to permeate through when turned on. The body is dipped in wax to give the exterior a varying surface and texture for a more real candle-like appearance. Each candle will have a variety of uneven and/or textured places created from the wax overlay cooling in a random fashion. The body is then covered with paint and image overlays, one at a time with repeated dry brushing to preserve even tones and appearance. By using a thin base core and minimizing the wax and paint overlays, the best luminescence is achieved when the candle is lit in darkness and the blues of the heron are more pronounced with the double image overlay process.
